Richard Fonbuena
EXECUTIVE IN CHARGERichard Fonbuena, the president and co-founder of GDEC, is driven by a passion for crafting vacation lifestyle experiences anchored in robust investment platforms. His vision allows our owners to indulge in their ultimate vacation getaways while securing investments with significant profit potential.
Mr. Fonbuena, a licensed attorney practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada, is also an alumnus of Brigham Young University. He operates one of the largest timeshare cancellation companies in North America, having successfully assisted thousands of dissatisfied timeshare owners. Through his expertise, he legally and permanently frees them from their timeshare obligations.

José Gutiérrez
GENERAL LEGAL COUNSEL MEXICOJosé Luis is founding partner who has been with the firm since 1997 and is a former partner of a major Mexican law firm. With more than 25 years of experience, he is a leading Mexican lawyer who has successfully advised prominent domestic and international companies carrying out business throughout Mexico. His specialty areas include oil and gas projects, mergers and acquisitions, international business transactions, and highly complex corporate matters. He has additional experience in the fields of competitive bidding and labor law. José Luis regularly presents at a range of international seminars and conferences and publishes in his specialty areas.
He obtained his law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana School of Law and completed coursework in American law at the University of Florida. He is a joint doctoral candidate at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad Anáhuac México. He has taught both in Mexico and abroad and performs pro bono work to promote the development of sports in Mexico.
Luis Briseño
CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT, CONTROLLERLuis is an expert in financial information analysis, issuance and review of financial statements, and tax compliance in Mexico, with more than 14 years of experience in tourism and real estate. He is a Public Accountant and graduated from the University of Guadalajara.
Luis's main goal is to help his clients achieve their financial goals and help them control their business. Luis loves outdoor activities and water sports and is a motorcycle enthusiast.
Fabián Méndez
EXECUTIVE IN CHARGE OF ARCHITECTURE & DESIGNFabián Méndez Jiménez, architect graduated from Tecnológico de Monterrey with one year of studies at Politecnico di Milano. A year later, he obtained a diploma as a master interior designer from Elisava in Barcelona. He founded his architecture studio, Habitura Mx, where he has developed interdisciplinary design and construction projects for over 5 years.
Habitura is an architecture and design studio founded in Mexico, focused on creating spaces with their own identity. Each project developed by Habitura is unique, as it requires a different strategy and distinct appreciation according to its context. This is why the foundation of their multidisciplinary team of architects and designers is the blend of aesthetics and functionality, resulting in functional and harmonious spaces that meet the specific needs of their clients.
